Please Note: Early in 2015 Camel Audio removed the Alchemy Synthesiser App from the iTunes Store, so unfortunately it is no longer available to download for iOS. However, It looks like Camel Audio’s Alchemy Synth may live on within Apple’s GarageBand and eventually Logic Pro. Apple Insider reported in July 2015 that Apple has updated its site with previews of an upcoming GarageBand release that features new synth sounds with the ‘Transform Pad Smart Control’. The Tranform Pad will look familiar to users of Alchemy Mobile. So let's hope this eventuates and if you want to hear some of the sounds of the original app, check out this video. About Alchemy for iOS Discover an almost limitless palette of musical instruments using the unique remix pad to create constantly evolving and expressive sounds.
Play fat basses, evocative soundscapes and pulsing arpeggios and build sound scales or track concepts on the go to later integrate into your studio projects. This is the mobile version of Camel Audio's award-winning Alchemy synth and brings the magic of this instrument to your iPad. Highly recommended app for all electronic musicians sound designers and music enthusiasts.
It must be a day for the ‘A’ label iOS music apps. Having just posted about the update to the rather wonderful, here is a further post about Camel Audio’s Alchemy Synth Mobile Studio. As with Animoog, Alchemy has been around on the iTunes App Store since late 2011 (yep, before I started this website) and, unfortunately, it has never quite bubbled up to the top of my to-do list in terms of a full review. At some stage, I’ll have to put that right. Even so, this is an app with a dedicated following and plenty of functionality. The basic app is a free download so you can at least give the core features a try before you commit yourself. However, you can unlock the full features of the app – and there are a lot of them – by buying the Pro Upgrade IAP at UK£10.49. Sylenth1 64 bit mac torrent.

The app includes a whole range of other IAP options that allow you to add a huge range of additional sounds to the app. Alchemy now has both Audiobus and IAA support. Camel Audio have now released v.2.3.9 of Alchemy and, while this brings new features such as iCloud storage of favourites and user presets, and some sound quality improvements, the key feature is support for Audiobus 2.1 and iOS8. Any existing users should also not, however, that this version means that iOS6 (hope nobody is still stuck there?) is no longer supported. If you don’t know the app, it is well worth checking out the free version as Alchemy has some interesting realtime sound morphing options.
You really need to purchase the ‘Pro’ upgrade IAP to get the best out of it but, once done, it becomes a powerful music production system in it’s own right. Alchemy Synth Mobile Studio. Alchemy: the first real music making iOS app that I acquired, and my all time favorite. Camel Audio has done a very good job of enhancing and improving Alchemy on a regular basis. With the addition of smoother track switching under sound quality improvements, another one of my wish list items can be checked off for this app.

I’ll emphasize what John said; if you don’t have this app, and you’re at all interested in synths or even just adding texture or some soundscapes for background — this is an easy app to check out since it starts free. I think it is rather brilliant app, and the sounds it can generate have been very inspiring.
I bought the initial app then bought many other update packs when they were available. When I opened the app recently, all I had were the factory and Water! It said there were no other apps to be restored.
What the heck happened to all the other update packs I bought? Where are they? I started buying them separately before to offered the complete package. At 5bucks a piece, they had to add up To 50bucks or more! How do I get these back. They were a lot of great sounds there.
HELP ME PLEASE BEN CARUSO. Hi Ben, very sadly, Camel Audio ceased trading a few months ago and that has, of course, left all users of their software with a very uncertain future as to the support that they might get.
There are some threads on various forums about how some content can be restored and discussing whether Camel Audio have been acquired by another developer. Start with this link:- but you are one of many who has been left stranded by the company folding. Unfortunately, the world of software (music or otherwise) is littered with these kinds of events in the world of business some businesses don’t always survive forever. Camel Audio is just another example I’m afraid. Very best wishes, John.
